This site is intended to cover terminology relating to plants. It will concentrate on the Latin, English and French languages.

Contrary to plant names, there is no procedure or consensus about terminology. Many dictionaries have been published. We will compile here the definitions issued by the best ones, and track original publications. A particular emphasis will be given to the use of terms, which often contradicts definitions.

Terms will be arranged according to semantic fields.
